 | About WolvesWolves are very often misunderstood. While people tend to think of the 'big, bad wolf', real wolves are not like that at all. As a matter of fact, wolves are very similar to humans. They are curios, territrorial, sociable, sensitive and can be kind, loving, caring, and have very acute feelings. Like human children, wolf pups are playful, curious, and quite vulnerable. They need love and attention and are very dependant on their parents, so if the mother dies, so does the pup. (All people who hunt wolves should think a bit about that.) There are two major tipes of wolfs: timber wolves and artic wolves. timber wolves live in forests and artic wolves live in the Artic. Aritc wolf tend to be white but timber wolfs can have pretty much any colour, ranging from black to white. |

What many people don't realize is how extrimly important wolves are in the ecosistem. When they were temporarily extinct in Yellowstone National Park, elks thrived. This is not as good as it sounds, though. Elk numbers soared and they ate anything green they could find, greatly endangering other spieces which depended on it. Then the wolves returned. Despite the local scandal, they did a lot of good. As they hunted, more trees began to grow; frogs apeared in pools and the poplation became more balenced. Now they are once more endangered and need our help so HELP SAVE THE WOLVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
