As you probably know, J K Rowling wrote Harry Potter. Joanne Kathleen Rowling is her maiden name, her married name is Joanne Murray {"Murray" being her name through marriage, before that she was called "Rowling"}. Her mother was Anne Rowling and her father was Peter James Rowling. J K Rowling's books have caused quite a lot of religous debate since they were first published, on the first of September, 1998.
